What does the due diligence process consist of?
Before we can sign on the dotted line, we need to check over what we're purchasing and prepare for a seamless transfer.
There are 3x key templates we ask you to populate and our team will be on hand to support you with any questions you have to make completing as simple as possible:
1. Team information
This spreadsheet outlines information about any team members who will be moving across.
We've worked with our HR resource to develop this tool so we can effectively carry out tupe transfers in a way that protects the seller, buyer and employee.
Expect to complete info on pensions, annual leave allowance, annual leave taken, notice periods, salary, past disciplinaries…
2. Managed properties
In this template you’ll be outlining info on the properties you manage so we have a clear picture on what we’re acquiring in the purchase and we can start preparing for takeover day.
This will highlight the number of properties, tenant details, landlord details, ongoing works, arrears, notices, what rent is charged, what management fee % charged…
3. Asset details
You’ll also be given a document to fill in with info on your CMS, any portal login details, social media logins if req, phone number transfers, email marketing info… this is so when we takeover we have access to everything we need to be able to continue a level of service for the customer whilst they transfer over to our usual systems.
These documents make selling your business as smooth of a process as possible - it may seem like there’s a lot of information to pull together, but everything requested is essential and we’ve used our experience and acquisitions to develop a way to collect what we need in the most efficient way possible.
